Enjoy fantastic 13 days to Oman with Arab Adventures Tours and discover its enchanting forts, high mountains, desert safari and colorful souks in Muscat & Nizwa. You will be able to visit all of the different regions of Oman, Muscat, Nizwa, Bahla, Jabreen, Al Hamra, Wahiba Sands and Rub AL khaly Ā to Salalah.

Itinerary:

Day 1: Arrival at Muscat

Your tour manager will meet & assist you at Muscat International Airport after luggage & customs area, and then he will escort you to your hotel and overnight in Muscat.

Ā Day 2: Muscat (Grand Mosque) – Barka ā€“ Nakhl ā€“ Rustaq ā€“ Wadi Sahtan

After breakfast will drive to the Grand Mosque: The Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque in Muscat is the most prominent architectural mosque in the Sultanate which is the summit of Islamic architecture where tradition and modernity are present. The mosque was built to be the line with the large population and urban development witnessed by the governorate of Muscat. The construction began in 1995 and took six years to complete. Made by marble, sandstone and wood has four corner minarets and a taller central minaret, all five minarets represent the five pillars of Islam. Inside the mosque is present a great Persian carpet, big chandeliers, colored windows and glazed tiles and a very beautiful mirab.

The next stop is Barka (A fabulously fish market on the beach, visiting the fish market. The next stop is Nakhl which also has the highest fort in Oman, standing proudly on top of a hilltop as well the nice Nakhl hot springs. The fort is 350 years old and is set in a gorge, surrounded by a mountain enclave. The fort has been restored many times and it was rebuilt in the 17th century by the YaĀ“arubi Imam. After our visit we will drive to a wonderful distention in Oman you should consider which is Wadi Sahtan. It is one of Oman natural treasure where you can find different types of plants and birds. To increase our experience we will have overnight camping to discover the nightlife at the mountain.

Day 3: Wadi Sahtan – Wadi Bani Auf – Bilad Sayt – Al Hamra

After breakfast we will proceed to Wadi Bani Auf where the main attraction is the old houses nestled on the slopes of the mountain and this wadi is also well known as the snake gorge because of the wide variety of desert snakes that live here. Then proceed to Bilad Sayt a village that is famous for its clay houses and the oasis in which the village population lives. After this visit. Continue driving to Al Hamra a 400-year-old town in the region of Ad Dakhiliyah. Then proceed to Misfat Al Abriyeen which is one of the prettiest traditional villages in Oman.

Ā Day 4: Al Hamra – Jabil Shams – Bahla ā€“ Jabreen – Nizwa

Breakfast in the hotel and check out, pick up at 8:00am. We will go up to Western Hajar Mountains, exactly to Jabal Shamis, where we will walk for 3 hours to experience its grand canyon. After that we will drive to Bahla one of the big oases of the interior Oman. The impressive fort, a masterpiece of clay architecture, has been inscribed in UnescoĀ“s World Heritage List since 1987. There are also the remains of a fortified wall, up to five meters high and over ten kilometers in length, with many watchtowers built in. The wall surrounds the extensive date gardens and fields.

Bahla was the capital of Oman to the Nabahina dynasty for four or five centuries from mid-12th to the 17th when the YaĀ“arubi dynasty took over.

Jabreen is another oasis surrounded by date plantations. The importance of Jabreen is the fort built by Imam Sultan bin Saif Al Ya’arubi in 1670 as a defensive stronghold and as living accommodation for the Imam. It has two huge towers with walls two meters thick. Inside the fort is like a palace with its elegance and elaborately decorated ceilings. Driving to Nizwa and check-in to the hotel.

Day 4: – Nizwa- Jabal Akhder

Breakfast in the hotel and check out, pick up at 8:00am. We will go up to Western Hajar Mountains, exactly to Jabal Shamis, where we will walk for 3 hours to experience its grand canyon. Day 5 : Nizwa – Wadi Bani Kahlid – Wahiba Sands

Drive to Wadi Bani Khalid. The pools has clear deep cool waters, where the shade of the palm trees is inviting for a relaxing siesta! Catch a glimpse of the pretty villages scattered all over Wadi Bani Khalid as they cling precariously to the slopes of the rugged mountain- side (Please bring along your swim- wear, the clear waters of the wadi are very inviting! Also please note that light clothing and walking shoes may be more suitable on this trip). Stunningly sculpted by the wind, the Wahiba red- gold sands sprawls over 15,000 sq km. These apparently lifeless sands have sustained the Bedu tribes for over 5,000 years. In the middle of the desert stop to visit a Bedouin home. Enjoy bashing and the dramatic sights of the sunset while based on a high dune (Camel ride optional). Enjoy a traditional Arabic meal, Omani coffee and dates.

Day 6 : Crossing desert of Wahiba ā€“ Qahad ā€“ AL Khaloof Beach

We will cross Wahiba Sands desert for 4 hours and about 160 km to beach Qahad. From there, we continue driveng where is the desert arrive to the arabian sea driving on the cost until Film where is the pink Flamingo. we will cross the salt desert until sugar Duons in ALkhaloof .

Day 7 : Al Duqum ā€“ Rub Al Khali

We will continue crossing the desert after breakfast in the hotel toward Rub Al Khali. The guide we prepare the camping stuff while you will enjoy the sands and the silence.

Ā Day 8 Ā : Rub Al Khali

After Breakfast drive in the soft sand the north part of Rub alkhaly we stop for photo and we have our lunch on oasis in the middle of desert. We will have time to enjoy the sunrise and enjoy driving in the desert.

This day we will visit some of bedwen they have camel ( black camel ) We will have time to enjoy the sunrise and enjoy driving in the desert.

Day 10: drive to Salalah thro Shisir

We will have time to enjoy the sunrise and have breakfast before driving to Salalah. Still you will be able to enjoy the view of the emptiness the desert has until we arrive the city where everything will change we will stop in the lost city ( Ubar ) in Shsir visit the part of the cit and continue until wadi Douka where is the Frankincense . It will be long trip and for sure you will need to relax so we will drive directly to the hotel.
